Chile and Peru Sign FTA

Chile and Peru ratified a free trade agreement (FTA) in early July, which will strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries and provide a more secure investment framework and improved dispute resolution mechanisms between the two countries. Investors and business leaders stand to benefit from greater transparency and the improvement in investment security. The FTA is a follow on from an existing Economic Complementation Agreement, and has been mooted since 2006.
