Political Risk Ratings: A Drop In The Ocean

The approval by the US Senate on June 26 of the Inciativa Mérida, which will provide the Mexican government with US$400mn over the next 12 months to help in their battle against the drug cartels, will do little to stem the current spate of drug-related killings, already numbering around 1,600 year-to-date.
