Industrial Output Slows in May

Industrial production growth in Brazil slowed substantially in May to 2.4% y-o-y, down from 10.0% growth in April. Even when looking at the seasonally adjusted industrial production index, output grew at 3.4% y-o-y during that period, marking a considerable slowdown over previous months, pulling the seasonally adjusted 12-month moving average growth rate down to 6.5% y-o-y, from 6.6% in April.
