The Guatemalan quetzal continues to move in our favour, strengthening by 3% to around nine-year highs of GTQ7.4100-7.4300/US$ so far in 2008. In the past, the central bank ( Banguat ) may have been tempted to intervene in the FX market to maintain export competitiveness.
