Election Battle In Full Swing
May 2008 | Ratings UpdateAnother month, another barrage of aggressive electioneering ahead of next year's presidential vote. Panama's Foreign Minister (and Vice-President) Samuel Lewis Navarro has been accused of having business contacts with alleged Colombian narco-trafficker, José Nelson Urrego. While Navarro has fervently denied the allegations, we believe that the claims could prove damaging for his presidential ambitions. Expect further gamesmanship and horse trading ahead of the May 2008 ballot.
