BCH Facing Inflation-Growth Trade Off

BMI View: The central bank is unlikely to raise the Honduran benchmark interest rate (currently at 7.75%) in 2008 due to increasing downside risks to economic growth emanating from the US. We expect inflation to fall eventually, but warn that an upside revision to our 7.5% end-2008 CPI forecast may be needed.
