Inflation Contained For Now
April 2008 | Economic AnalysisRising food prices are increasingly putting pressure on consumer prices in Uruguay, and we caution that an escalation of inflation could weigh on the country's political risk ratings going forward. That said, for the time being, food inflation appears to be offset by declining transportation costs.
