The government of Barbados has received military aid valued at approximately BBD$840,000 from China. This donation - which included computer and audio visual equipment, disaster equipment, trailer-mounted power generators, tents and other assorted equipment - was the second instalment in a programme signed at Bridgetown in December 2004. Citing the 31 years of friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation in critical areas of development between the two countries, and the recent programme of military and cultural exchanges, the government of Barbados has reiterated its commitment to a 'One China' policy.
