Constitution Consultation Launched
February 2008 | Risk SummaryThe Cayman Islands government published a summary of its constitutional reform proposals in mid January, initiating a period of public consultations. The ruling Peoples' Progressive Movement (PPM) said the aim was to have a period of debate and discussion, prior to formulating definitive proposals to modernise and update the constitution, which would be put to a referendum in May.
