November 2007 | Ratings UpdateIn the final state elections of the year on November 11, the leftwing Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) did very well, including winning the important state of Michoacán. President Felipe Calderón's party, Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) has now won only of the five gubernatorial elections since he won the presidential elections in July 2006. The PAN's poor performances of late could portend to further losses in the mid-term congressional elections in 2009, which would weaken further Calderón's ability to drive reform.
