After the crisis in January, things have settled somewhat for the ruling Partido Colorado (PC), which has named its official presidential candidate as Blanca Ovelar. Despite being temporarily dissolved, the party electoral tribunal confirmed that Ovelar has narrowly beaten rival Luis Castiglioni in the primary ballot.
