Inflation To Continue Falling
February 2008 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: At 7.6%, consumer price inflation in 2007 came within touching distance of our 7.8% forecast. Looking ahead, we are confident that the monetary authorities will remain committed to fighting inflation, and forecast an end-2008 headline rate of 6.8%. That said, the central bank will have to battle against underlying demand side pressures.
