Lowest Inflation In Region, But Risks Surface
January 2008 | Economic AnalysisAt 3.3%, Ecuadorian year-end inflation was the lowest in Latin America in 2007. That Ecuador is dollarised and the economy is slowing have been the two major factors in keeping prices contained in a year of elevated food prices, which account for a large proportion of the CPI basket.
