December 2007 | Political Risk AnalysisBMI View: Although national elections will not be held until 2009, campaigning has already begun. El Salvador's high short-term political risk rating (72.7) reflects our belief that there is limited scope for a major shift in policy continuity, but we may revise the short-term ratings down in the coming months should we begin to harbour doubts over a new opposition candidate for the presidency.
