BMI View: The IMF has given El Salvador another reasonably clean bill of health in the most recent Article IV consultation, although it recognises that some problems persist. We agree with the Fund's assessment that the priorities should include improving the potential growth rate via productivity measures and maintaining fiscal discipline.
