November 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsRising price pressures remain a problem in Panama. Indeed, latest data show that consumer price inflation came in at 5.0% in September, marking a multi-year high. Inflation has risen sharply since January, when it stood at 2.6% y-o-y, and is largely the result of strong economic activity, combined with higher prices for food.
