As such, we believe that it is highly likely that the new Constitution will be passed. Having said that, there are both upside and downside risks to Ecuador's short-and long-term political risk ratings. On the one hand, the Correa's majority in the Assembly could improve the score of the 'policy making' category, while a potential rise in tensions could also worsen the country's social stability score.
