October 2007 | Ratings UpdateWith the second round of the presidential elections looming, our short-term political risk ratings remain slightly depressed, at 66.0. With the first round of the election having elicited the most violent behaviour yet seen in a Guatemalan campaign, with dozens murdered for their political stances or affiliations with candidates, there is of course concern that there could be more of the same in the second round.
