October 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: Consumer price inflation was 7.9% y-o-y in August, down slightly on 8.0% y-o-y in July. Core inflation has been unchanged at 4.5% y-o-y for three consecutive months, underlining the stickiness of the overall index. BMI 's 2007 end-year CPI forecast remains 7.8% y-o-y, above the bank's target rate of 7.0%.
