The government of Dominica has launched a new initiative to reduce poverty, under the Dominica Social Investment Fund (DSIF). The Fund is being financed by the European Union at a cost of $15.5 million over three years, and is designed to assist the government in fighting poverty, improving living conditions for the poor, and providing support to the government's policy framework for social and economic development.
