A Clean Slate?

BMI View: President Felipe Calderón's administration dismissed 34 high-profile state commanders of the federal agencies, Policía Federal Preventiva (PFP) and Agencia Federal de Investigacion (AFI), as well as 284 senior policemen across the board in June. The decision could help to improve perceptions of corruption within Mexico, although we remain unconvinced for now.
