Export Subsidies To Offset The Real Effect
June 2007 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: The government has apparently succumbed to pressure by exporters who have been hard hit by the appreciation of the real, and as such, has announced a series of measures aimed at stimulating exports. However, we do not believe that this offers a panacea for Brazilian exporters, which will have to learn to live with a strong exchange rate.
