In our new short-term political risk ratings, Bolivia scores a poor 63.8. This is a slight improvement from the score of 62.0 under our old methodology, yet still ranks in 19th place in Latin America. Pulling the rating down are the social stability category, which reflects the high level of unemployment and public unrest, and the security/external threats category. A policy continuity score of 80.0 provides a slight boost to the overall rating.
