May 2007 | Ratings UpdateWe have recently implemented our new political risk ratings across the region and have seen little change in Chile's ratings. Indeed, Chile continues to lead the way with the highest ratings in both the short-term and long-term (or structural) categories, registering 87.1 and 87.2, respectively. While the country has faced some political turbulence in recent weeks (namely student protests and a cabinet reshuffle), Chile has the most stable and entrenched democratic political system in Latin America.
