BMI View: After 60 years of uninterrupted rule, the Partido Colorado (PC) is set to face its biggest challenge yet in the 2008 presidential election. Popular ex-bishop Fernando Lugo is leading opinion polls, though doubts remain over his eligibility to run as a candidate, as well as the ability of a traditionally fractured opposition to sustain its new-found collusion.
