May 2007 | Risk SummaryOur short- and long-term political risk ratings, which reflect the country's political strengths and weaknesses in various categories such as policy making capability, stability of government, smoothness of political succession and income distribution, amongst other indicators, have been revised. Under our new system, Brazil's short-term political risk rating remained unchanged at 76.9, scoring particularly well in the policy continuity category, as well as in the inflation category, marking a breakaway from the rampant inflationary periods of the past.
