A car bomb attack which took place on the 9th April in Cali, an area central to military activity, is thought to have been carried out by the FARC with the cooperation of local narcotic organizations. The bombing is thought to be part of a FARC movement planned to peak in 2010, when Uribe's second term in office comes to an end.
