April 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: Inflation moved sharply higher in February, with a 3.3% y-o-y rate marking the fastest growth in prices since the data set began in 2002 (in the category we follow: national urban inflation outside of Panama City). Strong economic expansion, combined with a hike in electricity prices, were the major contributing factors.
