Still Heading South
April 2007 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: Argentine inflation accelerated to 0.8% m-o-m in March, from 0.3% in February, though the annualised figure continued to ease. Currently at 9.1% y-o-y, headline CPI is at its lowest level since June 2005, but concerns remain over both the methodology used to calculate official data and, perhaps more importantly, the sustainability of the government's direct price controls.
