Low Inflation Spells Neutral Monetary Policy
April 2007 | Market StrategyBMI View: Against a backdrop of low inflation, the Banco Central de Republic del Perú kept its benchmark lending rate on hold at 4.50% at its monetary policy meeting on April 3. While there are concerns that CPI figures are very close to entering deflationary territory, we do not believe that this is reason for alarm, yet.
