Growth Takes Credit For Upgrade

Ratings agency Standard and Poor's (S&P) raised Colombia's foreign-currency credit rating to BB+ on March 5 - one notch below investment grade. BMI View: This move reflects the country's positive growth outlook in 2007 and in our view, is a just reward for the government's recent fiscal performance.
