March 2007 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: The Mexican economy consolidated a healthy external position in 2006, registering a full-year current account deficit of US$1.48bn (just shy of our own forecast of US$1.50bn). Despite this performance, BMI believes that last year's impressive figures are unlikely to be symptomatic of a longer-term trend.
