February 2007 | Political Risk AnalysisBMI View: A visit by US President George W Bush to Uruguay has sparked considerable debate in the domestic and regional political environment. While we do not see long-lasting damage from the meeting, and regard it a useful opportunity to explore bilateral trade ties, it does expose potentially destabilising divergences between factions of the ruling coalition.
