Growth: Another Impressive Year
February 2007 | Economic AnalysisBMI View: The Instituto Nacional Estadistica Y Censos has posted 2006 GDP growth at 8.5%, the fourth successive year of robust economic expansion. Early indicators suggest buoyant activity in industry and retail trade played a large role in growth, providing considerable momentum going into 2007. With this in mind, BMI has raised its growth forecast for this year to 5.8%.
