The election for the leadership of the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), Mexico's third largest party in Congress, will take place on February 18, and the result could bear important implications for the government's ability to pass key structural reform through the legislature. On a regional basis, the party still retains considerable influence, with 17 state representatives out of a possible 32.
