BMI View: Inflation eased considerably in January to 9.8% y-o-y, following a dramatic spike to 12.8% in the previous month on the back of volatile food prices. Encouragingly, underlying inflation is far more moderate than the headline figure, and should continue to decline gradually (though remain an economic risk) over the forecast period.
