BMI View: Inflation came in within Banguat's target 5.0-7.0% band in 2006, at 5.79%. Although it was the lowest outturn since 2000, it was also a major rise from the low of 3.85% seen in October 2006, and reflects an unexpected resurgence of price pressures (indeed, we had forecast a 4.6% rate by year-end).
