BMI View: Now that Daniel Ortega has been inaugurated as president, we think that Nicaragua will face a tricky diplomatic balancing act. On the one hand, Ortega hopes to remain friendly with Venezuela, which has promised energy-related aid, and on the other, maintain ties with the US, which has greeted his re-election with friendly caution.
