January 2007 | Macroeconomic ForecastsBMI View: The country's external accounts appeared to have come in near our projections in 2006. We had forecast a trade deficit of US$3.60bn, but with an accumulated shortfall of US$3.73bn over the first 11 months of the year, it looks as though our projection will end up slightly on the low side.
