Macroeconomic Forecast Uruguay

December 2006 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

Uruguay's unemployment rate fell to 10.5% in September (down from 12.3% in 2005). The decrease was mainly a result of the strong economic expansion of 8.6% during H106. Given that the economy is likely to have registered solid growth during the second half of the year, we expect the unemployment rate to decline further by the end of 2006.
