Return Of Portillo?

Alfonso Portillo, the former president of Guatemala, may be forced to return to his native country from Mexico to face charges of fraudulent use of public funds during his mandate. The Mexican government has authorised Portillo's extradition, and barring a successful appeal against the order, he could be back in the hands of the Guatemalan authorities by early next year. Under this scenario, it will be interesting to see how the domestic legal apparatus deals with such a high-profile case.
