November 2006 | Macroeconomic ForecastsIndustrial output slumped by 5.9% m-o-m in June, but experienced a slight increase of 1.6% on a yearly basis, as measured by the central bank's index of industrial production. Although total manufacturing output decreased by 0.2% y-o-y (up from -3.4% y-o-y in June 2005), the decline did not take place in all sectors. While production of wooden furniture and beverages and tobacco fell by 39.0% y-o-y and 10.2% y-o-y respectively, the output for non-metallic minerals rose by 18.3% y-o-y and electronic components by 9.7% y-o-y.
