Passport Controversy
November 2006 | Ratings UpdateThe revised version of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) has caused considerable concern across the region, because it is feared that the new regulations could have a negative impact on the tourist industry. Yet we believe that the WHTI is unlikely to have any major political and economic repercussions for Barbados, as visitors have been required for years to show a valid passport upon entering the island.
