October 2006 | Political Risk AnalysisSince emerging as President Hugo Chavez's main challenger in the presidential elections scheduled for 3 December, Zulia Governor Manuel Rosales has been increasingly successful in identifying key weaknesses in Chavez's domestic politics and slowly expanding his political support base among Venezuelan voters. Nevertheless, we still believe that Rosales' chances of winning the elections remain limited.
