Morales Approval Slips Again
September 2006 | Ratings UpdatePresident Evo Morales' approval rating is at an all-time low, according to a survey published in La Paz based newspaper La Razon. Morales' rating shrank to 61% in August, from 75% in June and 81% in March. BMI believes that these results may signal wavering support over the renationalisation of Bolivia's oil and gas industries in May. The region of Santa Cruz, where the bulk of natural gas is produced, reported the highest level of disapproval at 58%.
