It was a nail-biting three days but it looks like Felipe Calderón of the ruling Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) has won Mexico's presidential elections. The narrowest of victories (a 0.6% margin - just 244,000 votes) came to the market-friendly conservative after days of uncertainty during which, at one stage, the lead passed into the hands of rival López Obrador of the Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD).
