Five candidates have registered for the July vote, but the race will clearly be fought between just three: Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) for the PRD-PT-Convergencia alliance; Roberto Madrazo for the PRI-PVEM alliance and Felipe Calderón for the PAN.
