Business Environment Achilles' Heel For Economy
August 2012 |Argentina's low business environment score of 48.3 reflects the adverse impact of economic imbalances and a high degree of government intervention on businesses. However, in light of relatively strong infrastructure credentials (by regional standards) the total score masks the enormous shortcomings when it comes to investor protection and the highly restrictive tax regime.
