Lugo Ousting Negative For Growth

BMI View: Although too early to adequately assess the longer-term economic fallout from Paraguay's ongoing political crisis, the impact on growth in 2012 will likely be negative. Fixed investment will be hardest hit, but consumption may also suffer, hence our decision to revise our 2012 growth projection down from negative 2.1% to negative 2.7%.
