July 2012 | Macroeconomic ForecastsJamaican inflation came in at 6.9% y-o-y in May, bringing total year-to-date inflation to 7.2%. While lower than last year's 7.5% average at present, we believe that in coming months rising corn prices will begin to boost price pressure in Jamaica. As such, we are bumping up our forecast for 2012 average inflation, from 7.0% to 7.8%.
